We have many years experience in the design and
implementation of material handling systems for the manufacturing
and distribution industries. We offer fully integrated material
handling systems, including hardware, controls and software,

Successful industry experience is our greatest strength when it
comes to engineering and implementing automated systems. Our
approach is to work with our customers to design the optimum

| Edward R. Rudolph, PE | Personal Profile |
| Mr. Rudolph, a registered
professional engineer, is the principle in Rudolph Associates, a
firm specializing in providing a variety of material handling
solutions to industry. Prior to starting Rudolph Associates, he was Manager, Systems Engineering, Interlake Material Handling, in Shepherdsville, KY. Interlake provides conveyor and storage rack systems to order fulfillment operations throughout North America. Mr. Rudolph managed a team of engineers and technicians, and was responsible for systems design, product application, project management, installation, and field services. Mr. Rudolph has more than thirty-five years experience in the material handling industry. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University, and subsequently began his career at Fairfield Engineering Company, a national supplier of material handling equipment located in Marion, OR He progressed through several engineering positions, including sales and applications engineering, product design engineering, and systems engineering, and was subsequently named Chief Mechanical Engineer. Following his tenure at Fairfield, he joined Rapistan, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI as a Project Manager. During this time, he managed the largest conveyor system project ever awarded up to that time, a receiving, storage, and distribution system for a major supplier of greeting cards. He also managed Rapistan's first total turnkey system, which included a large AS/RS system in addition to the conveyor system. These were major multimillion dollar projects requiring the integration of many disciplines of engineering to provide totally automated distribution systems. Mr. Rudolph also spent fifteen years with IBM/Lexmark International as an internal consultant specializing in material handling systems applications from the user perspective. He was the senior member of an engineering team, which converted the Lexington, KY plant from a typewriter manufacturing facility to a printer manufacturing facility, an effort involving the application of conveyor systems, storage systems, factory automation, and robotics. He acted as a consultant to senior management, specializing in operations management and process improvement, and was subsequently named Plant Manager, Consumer Products Division. |
